BACKGROUND

• Current Williamson County Commissioner
• Certified Public Accountant with Master of Business Administration Degree
• Veteran of the United States Army
• Retired with over 25 years of experience in business.
• Past President and Current Member of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee County Commissioners Association
• Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Williamson County Public Library
• Member of the Franklin Industrial Development Board which was instrumental in securing the Nissan North America relocation to Franklin
• Graduate of Leadership Franklin
• Longtime Member of the Williamson County Republican Party

BELIEFS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Opposed the County Property Tax Increases in 2003 and 2011        while offering alternatives to mitigate both budget deficits
• Instrumental in securing School Resource Officers for campuses in the Franklin Special School District
• Believes the role of government is to be beyond reproach and its representatives have strong ethical integrity
• Strongly supports public education with local control and believes the future is the children
• As Chairman of the Education Committee, delivered the full allocation of requested funds for the WCS School System
• Played a significant role in declaring the properties on Everbright Street surplus for sale with the requirement for Historic Restoration. County realized a gain of $637,000.00 over appraised value which was used to fund a major portion of the project to air-condition the Ag-Park Building (Location of the Williamson County Fair)
• As Chairman of the Tax Study Committee, sponsored and helped pass a Property Tax Freeze Resolution for Senior Citizens
• Strongly supported the resolution to perform due diligence on property to be purchased by or donated to the County
